Job Description
Position Summary
As a commercial roofing service technician, you will work closely with their service project supervisor in performing a variety of commercial and industrial roofing services including leak calls, maintenance and repairs, tenant improvements, and small commercial roofing projects. These roofing services will be performed on a wide variety of roofing systems including BUR, cold and torch-applied assemblies, coatings, EPDM, foam, metal, and single-ply. Service work can vary in size from preventive maintenance and housekeeping, to minor repairs, to re-roofs and new construction installations up to 2,500 square feet.
Your role includes:
• Teamwork: Working with your supervisor to perform roofing systems in a safe and efficient manner. Ensure projects are completed according to D. C. Taylor Co. policy under the direction of your supervisor.
• Safety: Inspect safety equipment daily and ensure all company equipment is in safe working conditions. Follow all safety procedures and policies established by D. C. Taylor Co. at all times.
• Operations: Assist with good housekeeping practice on the roof and staging roof areas with equipment and required materials. Participate in weekly meetings to discuss job site safety, project progress, and
schedule.

• Must be capable of performing strenuous physical activity relative to tear-off, carrying, and disposing of roofing materials.
• Must be computer literate.
• Must have GED level of reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
Working Conditions
• This is a Safety Sensitive position that requires pre-employment and occasional customer required urinalysis drug screens and a pre-employment “fit test” physical.
• Ability to consistently travel for 1-2 weeks at a time, occasionally up to 5 weeks.
• Ability to work in various outside weather conditions, including extreme hot and cold weather.
• Ability to climb up and down access points to commercial/industrial roofs at varying heights.
