Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Utility Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in operating various heavy equipment. This role involves working on construction sites, ensuring that all operations are conducted safely and efficiently. The Utility Operator will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks that support the overall objectives of the project.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including excavators, skidsteer, and front end loader.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Collaborate with team members to execute construction tasks effectively and efficiently.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery on-site.
• Assist in site preparation, excavation of trenches, laying underground utilities and backfilling area.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years underground experience running excavators, skidsteer, and front end loader.
• Previous construction site experience is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of line locate procedures to ensure safe excavation is a plus.
• Trench and excavation and confined space training a plus.
