Job Title: QA Lab Technician II - Refrigerated Warehouse
Location: Bellevue, WA 98005
Pay Rate: Up to $28.00 per hour (based on applicable experience)
Type: Temp-to-Perm
Schedule: 3rd Shift | Sunday - Thursday, 9:30 PM - 5:00 AM
Training Schedule: 2 weeks on day shift, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced QA Lab Technician II to join the Quality Assurance team at our Bellevue facility. This position plays a key role in ensuring all products meet established quality, safety, and compliance standards. The ideal candidate will have a background in food manufacturing, preferably dairy, and a strong understanding of laboratory testing procedures and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform sampling, testing, plating, reading, and recording of product test results.
- Maintain accurate daily records, data entry, and tracking.
- Conduct internal audits and follow hold procedures for out-of-spec products.
- Calibrate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as needed.
- Participate in plant inspections and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform microbial plating, component analysis, and environmental swabbing.
- Inspect equipment and plant areas for sanitation and compliance with standards.
- Conduct sensory analysis on milk and other products.
- Maintain adherence to safety, sanitation, and quality assurance protocols.
- Perform additional projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, or related field preferred.
- Equivalent experience (5+ years) in lieu of degree will be considered.
- 1-2+ years of experience in a QA laboratory or similar role.
- Food manufacturing experience required; dairy experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of HACCP, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Good Sanitation Practices (GSP).
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Proficient in Windows-based computer programs.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and manage a fast-paced workload.
- Must be flexible to work occasional overtime (Friday into Saturday) with notice.
- Must be fully authorized to work in the U.S. (limited work authorization not accepted).
