Job Description
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide comprehensive services within a K-12 educational setting in Melrose, NM. This full-time contract position spans the school year, offering the opportunity to work onsite with students across all grade levels. Ideal candidates will hold appropriate certifications and licenses to support speech and language development in school-aged children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language evaluations, individualized therapy, and progress monitoring for students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and district policies.
- Participate in professional development and stay current with best practices in pediatric speech pathology.
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or Certification of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
- Valid New Mexico state license and New Mexico Department of Education license in Speech Pathology.
- Prior experience working in school settings preferred.
- Ability to work full-time (35 hours per week) onsite.
