Automotive Service Technician: Responsibilities

• Perform work as specified on repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
• Test-drive vehicles and inspect components using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, and more
• Communicate with Service Advisors to keep customers informed about additional service needs and provide time estimates for further repairs
• Complete repairs under warranty according to manufacturer specifications

Automotive Service Technician: Qualifications

• Previous experience at an automotive dealership is preferred
• Strong understanding of the service drive and customer service
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
• Basic computer literacy
• Positive, friendly attitude with a customer-first mindset
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively as part of a team
• Willingness to learn new technologies, procedures, and specifications
• Experience with electronic diagnostic equipment
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
• Willingness to undergo a pre-employment drug screen and background check
