Unit Clerk - Casual

Scheurer Health, a critical access rural hospital, is seeking a casual Unit Clerk to work in our Surgical Services Unit on an as needed basis.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and deliver messages
• Provide information within the Unit Clerk’s scope
• Assist visitors, families, patients, doctors and staff of the hospital
• Post doctor’s orders
• Schedule appointments for patients at outside facilities
• Carry out admission and discharge procedures
• Providing assistance to the nursing staff and physicians
• Maintain an inventory of supplies for the nurse’s station or unit

Requirements

• High school diploma or Ged equivalent
