Project Manager - Civil / Earthworks

Salary: $120,000–$145,000 annually + exceptional benefits

A rapidly growing civil construction contractor in Reno, NV is seeking a driven and experienced Project Manager to lead and manage a variety of civil construction projects. The Project Manager will oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality. This role requires strong leadership, a proactive mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both field and office teams.

Experience in Earthwork and HCSS is considered a plus, but not a requirement. The right attitude, work ethic, and commitment to excellence are what set successful team members apart at this company.

• Develop and manage project budgets and monitor costs to ensure financial performance

• Create and maintain project schedules, tracking progress and ensuring milestones are met

• Lead and coordinate with subcontractors, field teams, engineers, and other project partners

• Oversee quality control to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and standards

• Maintain strong, professional communication with clients and provide regular project updates

• Manage change orders, RFIs, and the submittal process

• Identify and mitigate project risks to support a smooth construction process

• Review plans and specifications for constructibility

• Oversee project close-out activities including punch lists, change orders, and O&M/warranty documentation

• 7+ years of project management experience in civil construction (grading, site work, utilities, or related areas)

• Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports

• Proven leadership and team management experience

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Proficient with construction management systems and scheduling software

• Organized, detail-oriented, and driven with a strong sense of urgency

• Knowledge of local codes and regulations – preferred

• Experience with HCSS (HeavyJob/HeavyBid/Plans) – preferred but not required

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification – preferred
