Registered Nurse – Cath Lab / Interventional Radiology (IR) Shift: Days – 4x10-hour shifts (06:45–17:15) Location: [Facility Name], [City, State] Assignment Length: [Insert Duration] Start Date: ASAP Position Summary: The Cath Lab / IR Registered Nurse provides high-quality care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac or radiologic procedures. This position requires a strong foundation in critical care nursing, the ability to manage complex equipment, and the skills to respond effectively in high-acuity situations. The RN will assist with procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, device placements, and interventional radiology cases, while maintaining patient safety and collaborating closely with physicians and technologists. Requirements: Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent Cath Lab or IR RN experience (required) First-time travelers accepted with 3+ years of total RN experience Scrub experience preferred Licensure & Certifications: BLS and ACLS (required) Documentation Systems: Cerner and McKesson Equipment Knowledge: McKesson-Hemo, Balloon Pumps, AngioJet, CSI Diamondback, Penumbra, Inari, RotoPro Jetstream (BSCI) C-Arms: Philips / Siemens ACIST and MEDRAD power injectors Temporary Pacer (Medtronic), IVUS (Abbott), OCT Procedures Performed: Cardiac: LHC, RHC, Balloon Pump, Temporary & Permanent Pacers, Defibrillator, Pericardial Effusion, STEMI Call Interventional Radiology: Venous Access, Drain Placements, GI Tube Insertions, PE & DVT Interventions, TIPS, PV, Fistula Work, UFEs, Prostate Embolizations, GI/Postpartum/Internal Bleeds Schedule Details: Shift: 4x10-hour Days (06:45–17:15) Call Requirement: Minimum 2 days per week and every 3rd weekend Block Scheduling: TBD – call coverage may fall on days off Daily Census: 5–7 cases Facility Information: Charting System: Cerner / McKesson Note: Effective 11/30/24, IU Health will not allow Indiana RN licenses to work at their facilities, except for Perioperative/OR, Allied, and Ambulatory RN travelers. Exempt Roles Include: ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS
