Position Summary
A well-established, not-for-profit community hospital is seeking an Internal Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to join its outpatient primary care practice in Shelton, Connecticut . This is a full-time, permanent opportunity focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to an adult population in a collaborative clinical environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in internal medicine, preventive care, and chronic disease management. The physician will manage a wide range of adult conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and other acute and chronic illnesses.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive outpatient care to adult patients, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment
• Perform routine physical exams, preventive screenings, and health assessments
• Manage acute and chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular diseases
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and imaging
• Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans
• Educate patients on disease prevention, wellness, and lifestyle modifications
• Collaborate with specialists and multidisciplinary teams for coordinated care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR system
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient care programs

Qualifications
• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
• Active Connecticut medical license (or eligibility)
• Open to both experienced physicians and recent graduates
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient care skills
