Outstanding opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join a highly respected, established anesthesia practice supporting a growing cardiac surgery program in Upstate New York.

Practice in a high-volume heart center with 30 operating rooms and a strong team of cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff. This role focuses primarily on cardiac and vascular cases in a collaborative, physician-driven environment.

Ideal for fellowship-trained cardiac anesthesiologists seeking complex cases, strong team culture, and a balanced call structure.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia care for cardiac surgical procedures including CABG, valve replacements, and complex cardiac interventions
  • Manage 6–8 cardiac cases per day within a high-volume program
  • Perform comprehensive pre-operative evaluations
  • Deliver intraoperative anesthesia management including advanced hemodynamic monitoring
  • Participate in post-operative cardiac patient care
  • Collaborate closely with cardiac surgeons, perfusionists, and nursing teams
  • Contribute to protocol development and quality improvement initiatives
  • Cover variable 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts
  • Participate in 1:5 call rotation (first call every eighth night, no second call)

✅ Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
  • ECHO Board Certified and/or Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship-Trained
  • Active or eligible for New York medical license
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • Strong expertise in cardiac anesthesia and advanced monitoring
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills

Working Hours

  • Variable 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts
  • 1:5 call rotation
  • First call every eighth night
  • No second call
