Job Summary:
Join our dedicated and compassionate team of providers as an MRI Technologist. You will operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images while ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
Responsibilities
- Operate high-field strength magnets and related equipment to produce specialized radiographic images.
- Position patients for MR scans using immobilization and protective equipment to ensure safety and compliance.
- Screen patients for MR safety prior to procedures.
- Assist radiologists during procedures and perform radiological tasks when not engaged in MRI duties.
- Evaluate MR scans for technical quality, organize processed images, and label appropriately.
- Schedule patients and assist with clerical functions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Provide education and training for new technologists.
- Address psychological and physical needs of patients during MR procedures.
- Coordinate scheduling and patient flow efficiently.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- Valid state licensure.
- Proven experience as an X-ray/MRI technician.
- Ability to lift or move patients and stand for extended periods.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach.
