We're Hiring: Lead Carpenter/Foreman

Modus Construction is seeking a skilled, motivated field leader to serve as second-in-command to a Superintendent. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced carpenter or foreman who is ready to take the next step in their career. The right candidate will train directly under our Superintendents, with the goal of eventually leading smaller projects and growing into a full Superintendent role.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Superintendent to manage day-to-day field operations.
• Perform and lead hands-on carpentry and construction tasks.
• Supervise and guide crew members and subcontractors on site.
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to Modus Construction's standards.
• Support project scheduling, quality control, and safety compliance.
• Take increasing ownership of smaller projects over time.

Requirements

• 5+ years of field construction experience (carpentry background strongly preferred).
• Prior experience as a Lead Carpenter or Foreman is ideal.
• Desire to grow into a Superintendent or Foreman role.
• Must provide own tools and equipment.
• Ability to both perform tasks independently and lead others effectively.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety, teamwork, and excellence.
• Familiarity with reading blueprints.
• Enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in efficiently completing tasks.
• Must provide own tools and cordless tools
