Opportunity:

Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week (will accept 48 hours upon request)
• Three weekends out of every six-week schedule required
• Every other holiday required
• First to float within skillset to Deaconess Newburgh (8 miles) and potential float to Deaconess Henderson, KY (11 miles)
• 2-hour notice given for cross campus float; mid-shift float within same campus possible
• Patient ratio: 1:5-7 on night shift
• Work with high acuity cardiac/telemetry patients including AFib with RVR, heart blocks, CHF, COPD, sepsis, post ablations, and dialysis patients
• Required to pass telemetry tests and perform 12-lead EKG interpretation
• Initiate and titrate drips including antiarrhythmics and Heparin
• Perform PIV insertion, chest tube/drain management, CBI, and nephrostomy tube care
• Minimum 2 years strong cardiac/telemetry experience required
• 1 travel assignment experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Recent EPIC charting experience required with mandatory checkoff class
• Required certifications: Current active compact license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS
• Associate degree or certificate required
• May require precepting of students and new hires
• No competing health system or agency logos on scrubs
• Three call-ins can result in termination

This healthcare facility operates a 32-bed cardiac renal stepdown unit specializing in high-acuity telemetry and medical-surgical care. The facility is a teaching hospital with excellent staff retention and an experienced management team. The unit maintains strong leadership with a manager who has overseen the department for over 15 years, building a cohesive and skilled nursing team. The facility provides comprehensive cardiac care services and maintains high standards for patient care and staff development.
