HeplerBroom LLC, a prominent defense firm, is seeking a licensed Associate Attorney with minimum of 3 years of general civil litigation experience for our Edwardsville, IL office. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys interested in gaining experience in general civil litigation, particularly in cases involving medical negligence, and general tort liability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough research, analysis, and interpretation of legal sources such as statutes, regulations, ordinances, court decisions, and legal opinions
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
  • Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop case strategies
  • Maintain excellent client communication and service

Qualifications:

  • Good standing with the Illinois bar
  • Strong writing, research, and analytical skills
  • Minimum of 3 years of civil litigation experience. Medical Malpractice experience preferred but not required.
  • Deposition experience required.
