Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to join our team, responsible for performing bioburden testing and various microbiological assays. You will ensure the lab maintains its high standards of cleanliness and efficiency by preparing media, executing daily testing procedures, and maintaining organized workstations. This role requires adherence to GDP standards and internal SOPs for accurate documentation and reporting, as well as effective communication with team members and supervisors. You will thrive in our fast-paced environment by adapting to testing new samples daily.

Responsibilities

• Perform bioburden testing and other microbiological assays.
• Prepare media and maintain lab cleanliness.
• Execute daily testing procedures accurately and efficiently.
• Clean and organize workstations post-testing.
• Follow GDP standards and internal SOPs for documentation and reporting.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Adapt to testing new samples daily in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field.
• One year of lab experience or relevant academic experience (internship or coursework).
• Aseptic technique

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Mundelein, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
