Selections & Design Coordinator (Custom Homes)

If so, we invite you to join our team as a Selections & Design Coordinator. In this role you will be at the heart of our projects, working closely with clients to bring their visions to life.
Peter Johnson Builders is a company focused on high end, architecturally-designed custom homes and remodels, and we are looking for a talented Selections & Design Coordinator. The ideal candidate is a growing professional and team player that can perform in an administrative capacity and support the pre-construction department as required.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and develop detailed plans.
- Coordinate selection processes, guiding clients through material and design choices
- Communicate effectively with trade partners to obtain accurate pricing and project timelines.
- Monitor project progress, identifying potential risks and implementing proactive solutions.
- Maintain organized documentation and records throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare, edit and organize project documents, reports and spreadsheets
- Review and update project budgets
- Create construction contracts through BuilderTrend
- Contribute to cost estimates utilizing trade partner budgets and quotes, as well as unit pricing.
- Conduct project Kick-off, department review, and management review meetings.
- Maintain trade partner relationships and develop relationships with new trade partners (subcontractors and vendors).
- Interface professionally with trade partners, architects, engineers, city and county officials, clients, and consultants.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to design documents.
- Procure Project Permits from local municipalities
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in an administrative role, Construction experience preferred
- Proficiency in Excel required
- Experience with construction project management software
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Commitment to upholding high-quality standards and delivering exceptional results.
Compensation:
- $65,000 - $75,000 depending on experience
