Job DescriptionThe Registered Nurse on the Cardiac Telemetry unit will provide care for patients with various cardiac conditions. This fast-paced environment requires the ability to manage multiple discharges and admissions throughout the shift.
Responsibilities- Monitor patients post heart catheterization, and manage medical treatments for conditions like CHF and COPD.
- Read cardiac strips and provide appropriate nursing interventions.
- Administer and titrate medications as per protocols, primarily Heparin.
- Perform admissions and discharges, ensuring comprehensive patient care.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance patient outcomes and workload management.
- Active RN license with the ability to practice in the state of employment.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Experience in reading cardiac strips and managing telemetry patients.
