Travel Operating Room RN – Day Shift

Shift: 10-hour days
Schedule: Variable 8- or 10-hour shifts based on department needs
Operating Rooms: 7 suites
Average Daily Volume: Approximately 18–20 cases
Patient Ratio: 1:1; may be 2:1 for select cases
Charting: Cerner
BSN Required: No
Scrubs: Provided

Position Overview\n

Seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a busy acute-care surgical department. The nurse will primarily circulate a broad range of surgical cases and must be comfortable participating in weekday, weekend, and holiday call coverage.

• AHA BLS

• CNOR through CCI

Experience and Skills\n

\n
• Recent Operating Room RN experience
\n
• Strong circulating skills
\n
• Scrub experience preferred but not required
\n
• Comfortable caring for ventilated surgical patients
\n
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced OR environment
\n
• Must meet a 30-minute call-back response time
\n

• Charge Nurse available
\n
• Surgical Technologists support the department
\n
• Surgeon coverage available 24/7
\n
• Respiratory Therapy available 24/7
\n
• Pharmacy available 24/7
\n
• No dedicated IV team
\n
• Philips monitoring equipment
\n

Call and Holiday Requirements\n

\n
• No regularly scheduled weekend shifts
\n
• Call is required on some nights and weekends
\n
• Approximately 1 weekday night call shift per week
\n
• Approximately two 12-hour weekend call shifts per month
\n
• Holiday coverage required
\n
• Call-back response time is 30 minutes
\n

Floating\n

Floating is limited to Pre-Op and Post-Op areas.

Cancellation Policy\n

\n
• Facility may cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment
\n
• For contracts shorter than 13 weeks, the facility may cancel up to 3 shifts
\n
