A well respected California-based law firm specializing in family law, including divorce, child custody, support, domestic violence, and related matters. We pride ourselves on providing compassionate, strategic, and results-driven representation to our clients throughout California.
Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Family Law Attorney to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in California family law and experience handling cases from initial consultation through trial or settlement. You will work closely with clients, paralegals, and support staff to deliver exceptional legal services in a professional and empathetic manner.
Key ResponsibilitiesRepresent clients in family law matters including divorce, child custody and visitation, child and spousal support, property division, restraining orders, and parentage actions.
Draft and review pleadings, declarations, discovery requests/responses, settlement agreements, and trial briefs.
Appear in court for hearings, settlement conferences, and trials throughout California (primarily [County/Region]).
Conduct client consultations, develop case strategies, and manage case timelines effectively.
Negotiate settlements and mediate disputes when appropriate.
Maintain client communication and ensure all work meets the firm’s quality and ethical standards.
Collaborate with the legal team to improve processes and contribute to firm growth.
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active and in good standing with the State Bar of California.
Minimum of [2–5+] years of experience practicing family law in California.
Strong knowledge of California Family Code, local rules, and court procedures.
Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
Empathetic and professional client communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
