Associate Attorney

1. Job Summary:
   1. King Law Firm, P.C., a growing, successful, and busy law firm in Sioux Falls, SD concentrating on auto accidents, personal injury, workers compensation, insurance claims, and disability is seeking an associate attorney.
2. Responsibilities & Duties
   1. Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements.
   2. Interpret laws, rulings and regulations.
   3. Conduct legal research and analysis.
   4. Prepare for, and attend hearings, depositions, and trials.
   5. Advise and represent clients on legal issues and disputes in courts, before government agencies, and in private legal matters.
   6. Communicate with colleagues, judges, attorneys, legal assistants, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently.
   7. Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is handy for other attorneys, legal assistants, and support staff.
3. Qualification & Skills
   1. Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school.
   2. Successful completion of the bar exam (South Dakota). *Iowa license is a plus.
   3. Ability to work with senior attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base.
   4. Solid written and verbal communication skills and problem-solving skills.
   5. Strong analytical skills.

   1. Salary - Starting at $85,000
