Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Portland, Maine (04102) – Maine nursing jobs
• Healthcare Setting: Inpatient Medical-Surgical Telemetry Unit
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Assignment Duration: 12 weeks (Start: 12/20/2025 – End: 3/14/2026)
• Unit Details: 18-bed, stroke certified unit
• Patient Ratios: Night shift goal 1:5, max 1:6
• EMR System: EPIC
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2050 - $2200

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Maine or compact state
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience in Med/Surg Telemetry
• Inpatient acute medical-surgical and telemetry experience
• Completion of education modules: Stroke, SI/Restraints, telemetry, blood glucose
• Ability to float to other units per hospital guidelines

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data for patient safety
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for patient-centered care
• Utilize clinical equipment such as PLUM pumps and Stryker devices
• Document all patient care using the EPIC EMR system
• Maintain a positive, teamwork-focused attitude
• Float to other nursing units as needed
