We are currently expanding our geriatric behavioral health team and are seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) who shares our commitment to exceptional patient-centered care. RequirementsKey Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
Prescribe, manage, and adjust psychotropic medications in collaboration with attending providers.
Provide training and educational sessions for facility staff on behavioral health best practices.
Work closely with nursing, therapy, and social work teams to ensure coordinated, holistic care.
Maintain accurate, compliant, and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
Active New York State Nurse Practitioner license and current PMHNP certification.
At least one year of psychiatric or behavioral health experience is preferred (new graduates encouraged to apply).
Proficient understanding of psychopharmacology and evidence-based interventions.
Strong clinical judgment, diagnostic, and communication skills.
