Wireless RF Compliance Systems Engineer (SAR/MPE) - Full-time

Apple’s SAR Engineering team is looking for an engineer to work on RF Exposure (SAR/MPE) characterization across different wireless technologies for Apple’s wireless products. **Description** - Work closely with in-region CM/Factory counterparts and internal teams in planning/executing on product development and validation activities. - Travel to in-region CM/Factory locations to debug the issue and bring up the test setups. - Understanding device to device variation by characterizing radiated and conducted KPI’s and performing marginality analysis. - Validating RF Exposure test cases for different regulatory domains in certification test setups. - Translating WW regulatory requirements into test cases. Coordinating with regulatory compliance teams to ensure product validation covers all certification tests. - Define/execute validation plan for RF Exposure facing SW features. - Debugging marginal/failure tests with cross-functional teams like RFHW /Antenna/ Product Design/EE and drive design changes to address issues. - Maintain test setups via periodic checks and calibration. - Help Regulatory Compliance teams in planning/executing on final certification testing at 3rd party test labs. **Minimum Qualifications** + BS degree in technical discipline with minimum 10+ years of relevant experience. + Working experience with different wireless communication systems such as GSM/UMTS/LTE, 802.11xx, Bluetooth including the corresponding system level specifications (e.g., ETSI 51.010, 51.05). + Working experience with regulatory requirements and certification process for wireless consumer devices, including FCC, PTCRB, CTIA, ETSI, 3GPP. + Excellent communication skills required, both written & verbal. **Preferred Qualifications** + MS degree in technical discipline with minimum 10+ years of relevant experience. + Working experience of antenna design and tests, in particular hands-on experience for compliance measurements. + Experience with 5GmmWave standard and/or hands-on chamber/system level understanding. + Experience with Antenna/EM simulation tools.
