Position Details:
Title: Analytical Chemist
Position Type: 1 year contract with additional opportunity contingent upon performance and continued business need
Job Location: Madison Heights, MI               
Shift: 1st Shift

Compensation: $33-$43/HR
 
Responsibilities:

• Operate and perform routine maintenance on analytical equipment.
• Maintain and update analytical methods and procedures.
• Work efficiently and collaboratively on major projects with Henkel teams.
• Prepare high-quality customer reports and manage project portfolios.
• Interface with customers through correspondence, presentations, and meetings.
• Ensure compliance with corporate standards, including safety, housekeeping, and quality.
• Maintain and utilize digital programs such as Microsoft Office, LIMS, and statistical analysis tools.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, with prior laboratory experience preferred.
• Previous experience in an analytical laboratory highly desirable.
• Strong wet chemistry skills, including titration, filtration, dilution, extraction, and gravimetric determinations.
• Knowledge and experience with GC-FID, ICP, IC, SEM/EDS, and FTIR desirable.
• Experience using pH and specific ion electrode meters.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong chemical math skills.
• Proficient in PC applications.
• Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
