Do you love children and want to make a difference? We are looking to add a motivated, reliable and caring teacher to join our staff as a Montessori Classroom Teacher's Assistant. As a teacher's assistant, you will be responsible for overseeing the order and cleanliness of the classroom, to help children as needed, to support the lead teacher under her advice and direction, and always, maintain a kind, patient, and respectful attitude toward the children. As a highly visible member of a busy and varied Montessori program, you to possess excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task with frequent disruptions.

Qualification
- Must be 18 years or older
- Previous experience in a childcare setting required
- Montessori experience is great but not required
- Flexibility between the hours of 7:00am-5:30pm
- Enthusiastic and creative mindset in a classroom setting
- Interest in working with kids in a patient, compassionate and understanding manner
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask responsibilities
- Team player mentality with a positive and receptive attitude
Responsibilities
- Carrying yourself in a professional, punctual and personable fashion
- Embodying a warm smiling face to children and families
- Supporting and assisting the lead teacher
- Collaborating in planning and implementing Montessori curriculum
- Maintaining a well-organized, clean, and stimulating classroom environment
- Observing and documenting each student to create individualized instruction
- Provide gentle guidance to help children develop strong independent skills
- Maintain open and clear communication with parents and children
- Be a positive role model for children by demonstrating respectful and kind behavior
- Supervising children during outside time on the playground
- Perform light cleaning duties, both assigned and proactively
- Helping with practical life items such as diapering, toileting, and assisting children in life skills
