Wellhart is seeking an experienced Anesthesiologist for a locum tenens position at a hospital in Massachusetts. This 260-day assignment begins on 09/01/2025, with a primary schedule of Thursday and Friday from 7am to 3:30pm, plus weeknight and weekend call as needed. The physician will cover a variety of cases including general, plastics, orthopedics, urology, gynecology, endoscopy, and occasional healthy pediatric patients. The role involves independent case coverage in 6 operating rooms and 2-3 endoscopy suites, with no supervision or OB cases. This opportunity offers a diverse clinical experience in a well-equipped hospital setting, with potential for extension.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide anesthesia services for a wide range of surgical procedures
• Cover cases in general surgery, plastics, orthopedics, urology, gynecology, and endoscopy
• Manage anesthesia for healthy pediatric patients (approximately 0-2 cases per month)
• Perform independent case coverage without supervision
• Rotate between operating rooms and endoscopy suites as assigned
• Participate in weeknight and weekend call as needed
• Utilize Epic electronic health record system
• Adapt to varying case loads and surgical schedules
• Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout perioperative period
