Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced RN for a 34-bed adult surgical unit. The nurse will provide high-quality pre- and postoperative care for patients undergoing a variety of procedures, including abdominal surgeries (laparoscopic cholecystectomy, appendectomy), mastectomies, thyroidectomies, and management of chest tubes and drains. The role requires proficiency in standard RPN III skills, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5–6.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive pre- and postoperative patient assessments and interventions
• Administer medications and manage IV/PCA pumps
• Utilize vital sign monitors, Pyxis, and EMR/WOW charting systems
• Float to other units as needed
• Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold hospital policies and standards

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in Hawaii (or eligible upon acceptance)
• Minimum of 2 years of med-surg or surgical nursing experience
• Strong experience in pre/postoperative care for adult surgical patients
• BLS and ACLS required
• EMR experience with EPIC preferred
