Job Description
We are excited to be partnering with a well-established, respected law firm in the East Metro to identify an experienced Litigation Paralegal with a strong background in foreclosure and collections matters. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional seeking a long-term role with a collaborative, stable firm that values precision, integrity, and teamwork.
The Litigation Paralegal will provide critical support to senior attorneys handling foreclosure and collections cases across Wisconsin and Minnesota. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, deep familiarity with foreclosure procedures, and the ability to manage a busy caseload from initiation through resolution.
This position is primarily on-site to start, with flexible hybrid scheduling after training.
Responsibilities:
• Assist attorneys with preparing and organizing legal documents related to collections and foreclosure cases.
• Conduct thorough research on case law and legal precedents to support litigation efforts.
• Manage case files and maintain accurate records using case management software.
• Coordinate discovery processes, including document preparation and responses.
• Prepare for trial by organizing exhibits, drafting motions, and assembling case materials.
• Communicate with clients and external parties to gather information and provide case updates.
• Monitor deadlines and ensure all filings comply with court requirements.
• Facilitate the smooth execution of foreclosure processes, including correspondence and documentation.
• Proven experience as a litigation paralegal, particularly in litigation, collections, or foreclosure (minimum 4-7+ years).
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, case management software and other legal tools.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with discovery processes and trial preparation.
• Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field, or equivalent certification.
