Director, Plant and Cost Accounting

Our client is looking for a dynamic Cost Accounting Director to add to their expanding finance department. This organization has gone through explosive growth after the last few years, and is looking to add a Cost Accounting Director that they can develop. Responsibilities of the Cost Accounting Director:

• Establish and maintain cost accounting model
• Calculate and update overhead and labor burden rates
• Monitor inventory controls and cycle counting
• Perform cost and variance analysis
• Monitor control procedures surrounding key costing files (Item Costs, Bills of Material, Routings Labor Reporting)
• Physical Inventory
• Make all month-end closing entries for inventory and cost of sales including the associated monthly inventory reserve calculation
• Responsible for analysis of all activity in associated Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts
• Identify areas for cost reduction and work cross-functionally to find solutions
• Provide budget input and support

Experience Preferred for the Cost Accounting Director:

• 15+years cost analyst/accounting experience
• BS in Accounting
• Manufacturing or CPG experience required
• Managerial experience required
• Strong Excel skills

Yearly Compensation starts at $160,000 plus benefits
