Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for a full-time outpatient orthopedic role requiring an active NE PT license and BLS certification.



Responsibilities
  • Primarily outpatient orthopedic caseload with some inpatient and swing bed responsibilities
  • Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, 40 hours per week
  • Occasional work in patient home environments and outdoor settings
  • Supervision by the Rehab Services Director
  • Main responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating patient rehab programs in collaboration with medical staff
  • Duties involve educating patients and families, maintaining patient records, and directing support staff
  • Must maintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting required
  • Housing options are limited in the area and should be researched prior to assignment
  • Dress code requires a neat, clean uniform suitable for patient care
  • Potential for occasional exposure to infectious materials
  • Expectations include participating in meetings, training programs, and maintaining compliance standards


Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of physical therapy experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy or higher required
  • Active Nebraska physical therapy license or PT Compact Licensure required (license required if applicable)
  • Current and valid driver’s license required
  • BLS certification required
  • Must have physical abilities to handle lifting up to 50 pounds and perform all job duties
  • Must be designated as a Registered Physical Therapist by the State Board of Medical Registration and Examination
