About the Opportunity
Join OU Health’s Neurology team as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP), where you’ll deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to adult patients in an inpatient academic hospital setting. This is an exceptional opportunity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team dedicated to advancing neurological care, education, and research across Oklahoma and beyond.
As an integral part of OU Health’s mission, you’ll evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with both acute and chronic neurological conditions, coordinate care, and provide leadership in clinical excellence, patient safety, and education.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive histories and physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic studies, and develop individualized plans of care.
Manage complex inpatient neurology cases in collaboration with attending physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
Provide education and counseling to patients and families.
Participate in teaching, research, and quality improvement initiatives supporting OU Health’s academic mission.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program (MSN, DNP, or Master’s in PA Studies).
Minimum 3 years of APP experience in neurology, internal medicine, or hospitalist care preferred.
Active Oklahoma APRN or PA license (or eligibility within 30 days of hire).
National certification by ANCC/AANP (for NPs) or NCCPA (for PAs).
DEA license (or ability to obtain prior to hire).
BLS (required upon hire); ACLS/PALS/NRP as applicable within 90 days.
