Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Eureka, CA, with high-risk OB experience and Epic EMR proficiency required.

Details\n

\n
• Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting with 11 labor rooms and 15 beds
\n
• High-risk OB patient population serving a culturally diverse community
\n
• Average daily census of 15-20 patients with up to 20 visits per day
\n
• RNs are expected to circulate on cesarean sections
\n
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:00–06:30)
\n
• Weekend shifts required to meet staffing needs
\n
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, with travelers floated first; may also be expected to float between facilities within California
\n
• Epic EMR experience required
\n
• Post-partum experience preferred
\n
• 13-week contract
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active CA RN license required; pending licenses are not accepted
\n
• Minimum 1 year of L&D nursing experience required
\n
• Epic EMR proficiency required
\n
• BLS certification required
\n
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
\n
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
\n

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days for the duration of the assignment
\n
• Former permanent employees of this health system must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
\n
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities, including travel, registry, or permanent employment
