About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Retina Surgeon to join our established ophthalmology practice in Missouri. The ideal candidate will be fellowship-trained in vitreoretinal surgery or medical retina and committed to providing exceptional patient care.
You’ll work alongside a collaborative team of ophthalmologists, optometrists, and clinical professionals to deliver advanced diagnostic and surgical retinal care to a diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and manage diseases of the retina and vitreous.
- Perform retinal surgeries, laser treatments, and intravitreal injections.
- Interpret and evaluate diagnostic imaging, including OCT and fluorescein angiography.
- Create and manage individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary eye care teams.
- Educate patients on their diagnosis and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in retinal care and participate in continuing education or research initiatives.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certification (or eligibility) in Ophthalmology.
- Completion of a Retina Fellowship (Surgical or Medical).
- Active and valid medical license (or eligibility) in Missouri.
- Expertise in retinal diagnostics, laser procedures, and surgical interventions.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to clinical excellence.
