Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist with at least 2 years of general, vascular, OB, and echo experience for a travel contract requiring ARDMS and BLS certification.

Responsibilities
  • Position is in a hospital-based general ultrasound department
  • Performs general, vascular, OB, and echocardiography exams
  • Day shift schedule, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Call required 1-2 nights per week and one weekend per month
  • Must be willing to float to other areas and sister facilities within a 75-mile radius as needed
  • Uses Epic EMR system; prior Epic experience preferred
  • Not open to block scheduling
  • Responsibilities include performing general, vascular, OB, and cardiac ultrasound exams as needed
  • Floating to other departments and sister facilities within scope is mandatory
  • A maximum of 5 days of requested time off permitted per contract; holiday RTO is not allowed
  • 2 supervisory references required for consideration
  • Both billable and non-billable orientation modules will be completed at the start of the assignment
  • Prior Integris employees must be separated for at least 1 year to be eligible
  • Scrub or dress code requirements are facility-specific and will be discussed upon assignment
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a sonographer in general, vascular, OB, and echocardiography exams
  • Graduate of an AMA-accredited ultrasound school
  • Active ARDMS RDMS certification required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • License required if applicable
  • Must provide a valid driver's license or state-issued ID plus a utility bill with matching address dated within the last 3 months; permanent address must be more than 75 miles from the facility
  • No local candidates within 75 miles of the facility
  • Must not have been employed by the system in the last year
  • No license infractions permitted
  • Pending state licenses are not accepted
