American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of acute care experience and CA licensure to perform PET scans and other nuclear medicine procedures.

- 13-week assignment in a Nuclear Medicine department \n
- Adult patient population \n
- Day shift, 5x8 hours from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM with a 1-hour meal break \n
- Monday through Friday schedule with no call or weekend requirements \n
- Uses GE equipment \n
- Performs PET scans including FDG whole body and skull to thigh imaging \n
- Cerner charting system experience required \n
- \n
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required, with at least 1 year in an acute care setting \n
- Any specialty unit experience must be within the last 2 years \n
- ARRT (N) certification required \n
- BLS certification required \n
- Valid, active CA state license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted); license required if applicable \n
- NMTCB certification preferred \n
- PET certification required \n
- Cerner charting system experience required and must be noted in work history \n
- Skilled in starting and maintaining IVs \n
- Skilled in storing, handling, and disposing of radioactive materials \n
- Must pass EKG exam within 3 attempts \n

- Responsibilities include performing PET scans and other nuclear medicine imaging procedures \n
- No blocked scheduling or self-scheduling permitted \n
- No RTO allowed within the first two weeks of the assignment \n
- Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract is highly preferred \n
- All RTO must be finalized and submitted with the application and cannot be changed afterward \n
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate \n
- Previous staff must be gone a minimum of 1 year to return as a traveler \n
- Manager may or may not conduct an interview prior to placement \n
