Position Overview

Waste Connections of Sumter is seeking a dependable and computer-savvyScale Attendantto join our team. This role is essential for ensuring accurate weight tracking, smooth traffic flow, and excellent customer service at our C&D landfill site.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate computerized scale system to weigh incoming/outgoing vehicles
• Accurately enter and manage data using Excel and internal systems
• Print and distribute scale tickets and receipts
• Communicate with drivers and direct traffic as needed
• Answer phone calls and assist with general inquiries
• Maintain a clean and organized scale house environment

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer use
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in logistics, dispatch, or landfill operations is a plus
