- Minimum 1 year of Med-Surg experience \n
- First-time travelers are welcome \n
RN titration required: Yes (excluding cardiac drips)

- Day Shift: Two Charge Nurses who may carry patient assignments. \n
- Night Shift:\n
- \n
- If two Charge Nurses are scheduled, they may take assignments. \n
- If only one Charge Nurse is scheduled, they typically do not carry a patient assignment. \n

Average Ratio: 1:10–12 patients (may increase based on census)
\nResponsibilities:

- Vital signs \n
- Blood glucose monitoring \n
- EKGs \n
- Applying telemetry monitors \n
- Bathing \n
- Feeding \n
- Toileting \n
- Turning and repositioning patients \n
Respiratory Therapy manages:
\n- \n
- BiPAP \n
- CPAP \n
- High-flow oxygen \n
- Breathing treatments \n
- Inhalers \n
- ABGs \n
RNs are generally responsible for monitoring patients while RT manages respiratory equipment and treatments.
Telemetry\n- \n
- Centralized Monitor Technician located on Level 5 monitors telemetry. \n
- Monitor Tech notifies nursing staff of rhythm changes. \n
- RNs are not required to independently interpret telemetry strips. \n
Shift Times
\n- \n
- RN: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM \n
- CNA/PCT: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM / 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM \n
Scheduling Notes

- No self-scheduling \n
- No guaranteed block scheduling \n
- Schedule is created by the manager \n
- Requested Time Off (RTO) is considered when possible \n
- Travelers are expected to remain flexible and help cover staffing needs \n
- Rotating staff typically work:\n

- Two weeks on days \n
- Two weeks on nights \n
- No switching between day and night shifts within the same week \n

- Every other weekend \n
- \n
- Travelers may be included in the RN holiday rotation. \n
- PCTs work holidays only if they fall on their scheduled shifts. \n

Travelers participate in the facility's float rotation and may float to:

- Medical-Surgical \n
- Med-Surg/Telemetry \n
- Intermediate Care (IMC) for lower-acuity patients \n

- RN: Navy Blue \n
- PCT: Ceil Blue \n
- Unit Secretaries: Black and Pink \n
