Supervisor: Lindsay Dresser, Senior Director of Opportunity and Outreach
Term: May - Aug., 2026 (flexible start and end date), 40 hours per week
Compensation: Hourly rate of $17/hour
Job Description
WGA I ESF is seeking an Opportunity and Outreach Intern. This role will have primary accountability to promote an inclusive culture in all facets of the organization, including but not limited current Evans Scholars, WGA/ESF Staff, Youth Caddies, Volunteer Leadership, and Tournaments. The intern will report to the Senior Director of Opportunity and Outreach.
WGA I ESF believes that fostering a welcoming environment and embracing various perspectives are vital to strengthening our organization. We aim to cultivate a community where everyone feels valued and to expand opportunities to elevate and enrich the WGA and Evans Scholars community.
Position Responsibilities
This is an exciting opportunity to experience a wide range of responsibilities, including:
* Assist in supporting current Evans Scholars serving on E-Board as VP, Opportunity and Outreach
* Oversee monthly staff newsletter
* Coordinate annual Young Women Caddie Summit
* Aid in coordinating panels, workshops, and education sessions with WGA I Staff, WGA Caddie Academies, and Caddie Scholar Prep as needed
* Attend committee and all-staff meetings
* Review forms and documents to ensure inclusive language
* Gather and input demographic data as needed
* Assist in creative ideas for leveraging initiatives
* Attend local championship tournaments as needed
* Participate in additional projects to support initiatives
Education:
* Pursuing a degree or relevant experience in Communications, Business, Marketing, Human Resources, Management, or similar field.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
* Passion for and commitment to valuing various perspectives and backgrounds, contributing to an inclusive environment.
* Demonstrated desire to build a community of belonging.
Competencies
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Experience with project management
* Effective time management and prioritization skills
* Detail oriented with strong organization and time management skills
* Eagerness to build and maintain effective working relationships
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with diverse teams
* Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Teams)
* Willingness to travel to events and championship sites as needed
