Per Diem Outpatient Inpatient Staff Pharmacist | Mexico, Missouri

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is ideal for a licensed pharmacist seeking a per diem role within an acute care hospital setting. Work 2 to 3 days per week during daytime hours, contributing your expertise to a 28-bed facility serving patients with complex inpatient and outpatient pharmacy needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders with accuracy and attention to patient safety.
• Manage specialized dosing for critical medications such as Warfarin and Vancomycin.
• Utilize hospital computer systems including ChartPad and HCS.
• Operate Pyxis automation for medication dispensing and inventory management.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Missouri Pharmacy license is required.
• Experience in hospital pharmacy practice is preferred, though retail pharmacy experience will also be considered.
• Proficiency working with inpatient and outpatient pharmacy workflows.
• Familiarity with Pyxis automated dispensing systems is advantageous.

This role is based in Mexico, Missouri, providing the chance to serve within an acute care hospital environment.

Schedule:

• Per diem position
• Dayshift hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Typically 2 to 3 days per week over a 2-month period
