Cardiovascular OR Tech - Newark, NJ

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years CVOR Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a skilled CVOR Technician with nursing experience to support surgical procedures in a fast-paced operating room environment.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Certified or experienced CVOR Technician with a strong foundation in nursing principles
• Expertise in cardiovascular operating room technology and sterile processing
• Ability to assist surgeons and the surgical team during cardiovascular operations
• Knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment setup, and patient monitoring
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and adaptability under pressure

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms for cardiovascular surgeries ensuring all equipment and instruments are sterile and functioning
• Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgical procedures in the CVOR
• Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes or emergencies
• Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures and equipment usage
• Collaborate closely with the surgical team to uphold safety standards and optimize patient outes
