American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring C-section and circulating experience along with advanced fetal monitoring certification.

\n
• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital environment
\n
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
\n
• Required to work every 3rd weekend
\n
• Holiday coverage required (Labor Day through Thanksgiving, specific dates TBD)
\n
• Floating required within the facility and across the health system
\n
• Uses Epic EMR system
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active Oregon RN license or proof of Oregon license application and fingerprinting required
\n
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Advanced
\n
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required (AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, or Relias Fetal Heart Monitoring)
\n
• Minimum 1 year specialty experience in Labor and Delivery
\n
• C-section and circulating experience required
\n
• Scrub experience preferred
\n
• Charge nurse experience preferred
\n
• Epic charting experience required
\n
• One professional reference from a Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Manager required, preferably within the last year
\n
• No felony convictions accepted
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• Provide comprehensive Labor and Delivery nursing care including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum management
\n
• Responsibilities include assisting with vaginal and high-risk deliveries, circulating and scrubbing for C-sections, and neonatal resuscitation
\n
• Skilled in fetal monitoring including external and internal fetal monitoring and IUPC placement
\n
• Experience with medication administration including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and Terbutaline
\n
• Care for patients with high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, HELLP syndrome, and preterm labor
\n
• Must complete all required education and training within one week of assignment start
\n
• Must complete an Epic Test-Out Module; if not passed, an 8-hour Epic training course will be assigned
\n
• Candidates must not reside within 50 miles of any Legacy facility to be considered local
\n
• Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no RTO allowed during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
\n
• Former Legacy Health staff must have been separated from the facility/system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
\n
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
