Role Impact:

As part of an aseptic, extended shelf-life beverage manufacturing facility, the Receiving and Inventory Clerk will be critical in managing the accurate flow of inventory. This role is essential for ensuring that all materials are received, tagged, and stored properly, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of the facility.

In this critical role, the Receiving and Inventory Clerk’s primary duties include working with procurement to schedule inbound materials, coordinating the receipt of inventory within information systems, properly tagging ingredients for traceability, and working with Material Handling to ensure proper material storage.

Role Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records, including stock levels, locations, and expiration dates.
  • Organize and file incoming goods documents for easy accessibility.
  • Conduct quality checks on stored inventory to meet company standards.
  • Process and document returned items.
  • Work closely with supply chain to ensure materials on hand cover upcoming production needs.
  • Implement inventory management procedures.
  • Monitor inventory losses and implement loss-prevention programs.
  • Prepare relevant reports for supervisors.
  • Conduct cycle counts and process to ensure accuracy.
  • File and organize all receipt BOL (Bill of Lading) information.
  • Keep the receiving area clean and organized to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Perform clerical tasks such as answering calls, entering data, and assisting internal or external customers.
  • Follow safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Adhere to food safety requirements and standards as needed.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic mathematical and calculation skills.

Experience & Skills

  • Experience in a manufacturing facility or logistics preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work ahead and process map receipts, delivery, and return to stock processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Strong math and critical thinking skills.
  • Precision and attention to detail.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be willing to work flexible hours including weekends and overtime.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, and bend for the entire shift.
  • Must be able to work with equipment that contains electric magnetic components.
