Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
· Familiarize Yourself with Rentex’s Inventory: Develop a comprehensive understanding of the products and equipment available within Rentex’s inventory.
- Understand Rentex’s Directory for Each Location and Department: Gain knowledge of the organizational structure and directory for all locations and departments within Rentex to facilitate efficient communication and operations.
- Facilitate Transfers Between Rentex Locations: Create transfer requests in our rental inventory management system, identifying the most cost-effective shipping methods.
- Review Inbound Transfers Prior to Departure: Assess and consolidate all incoming transfers for your location before they leave their origin. Confirm that the equipment is still in stock and still needed.
- Monitor Late Transfers and Orders: Follow-up on any delayed transfers or orders to verify whether they will arrive on time for scheduled needs, ensuring minimal disruption to service.
- Respond Promptly to Logistics Communications: Ensure that all emails and messages related to logistics are addressed promptly, avoiding any open-ended inquiries or unresolved issues.
· Support Coverage for Other Logistics Team Members: Step in to assist colleagues in the logistics team when they are unavailable due to absence from the office. This ensures continuity in operations and helps maintain service levels.
· Generate Bills of Lading (BOLs): Creating and issuing bills of lading, which serve as essential documents in the shipping process. These documents detail the type, quantity, and destination of goods being transported.
· Understand Dimensions and Weight Restrictions for All Shipping Methods: They must be knowledgeable about the dimensional limits and weight restrictions associated with various shipping methods. This knowledge helps prevent delays or issues during transportation.
· Determine Required Truck Size: Assess the dimensions and weight of the cargo to identify the appropriate size of truck needed for transportation.
· Obtain Trucking Estimates: Gather and provide estimates for trucking services to ensure competitive pricing and options for transportation.
· Validate Trucking Estimates: Confirm the accuracy and acceptance of the trucking quotes received, ensuring they meet our logistical requirements.

Education and Experience:
· Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to graduation from high school or a GED
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
· Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
