Responsible for guiding clinical practice and providing support and training for employees on policies, procedures and equipment. Works with employees as a consultant, liaison and advocate in the clinical area. Assist in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating education, staff development activities, and clinical competencies. Assist staff in developing and strengthening critical thinking skills and problem solving abilities. Remains competent in clinical skills.


  • Explores evidence-based practice to guide practice and educate employees. Sets the example for excellent patient teaching
  • Reviews and revises clinical practice policies and sets the example for patient assessment and planning care.
  • Participates in continuing education activities and displays an exceptional ability to ensure that the education needs of the staff are met.
  • Proficiency in technology and electronic health record system.
  • Prioritizes work and manages a wide array of details happening simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Thoroughly and appropriately demonstrates exemplary reporting and recording skills.
  • Demonstrates excellent clinical and professional leadership abilities.
  • Acts a role model, facilitator, and resource. Maintains a high level of accountability professionally and clinically.
  • Ability to use critical thinking skills, analyzes problems, and makes appropriate decisions.
  • Teaching skills with a knowledge of adult learning principles.
  • Exhibits an exemplary ability to assess needs and provides an excellent clinical orientation experience tailored to the individual needs of new employees.
  • Proficiency in clinical competency and willingness to maintain competency.
  • Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team.
  • Sets the example for assisting in the planning and implementation of special projects/events.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Current BLS required
  • Clinical experience in physician practice, urgent care or ambulatory surgical center required (3-5 years)
  • Education experience with knowledge of education principles/practices as it relates to adults in healthcare professional roles
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills and problem solving abilities
