As a Security Officer - X-Ray Screener in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener in a government location, you will play a key role in supporting a secure environment by monitoring entrances, conducting x-ray screening, and interacting with visitors and staff. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. This position may require driving duties. What You'll Do:
- Carry out screening procedures for individuals entering the location, following site-specific policies and protocols.
- Provide customer service by assisting visitors and staff with questions and guidance related to entry procedures.
- Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as needed according to established protocols.
- Document and report any irregularities, suspicious activity, or incidents in accordance with site requirements.
- Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and on-site personnel to maintain a secure environment.
- Remain alert and attentive to surroundings while performing screening duties.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Candidates must have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
- Candidates must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Candidates must be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
