Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A well-established healthcare facility is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Pharmacist for a part-time role focused on home infusion services and clinical pharmacy operations. Location: Marion, IA
Schedule: Day Shift, 24 hours per week with the possibility to work additional hours as needed
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with nursing teams to coordinate optimal patient care and maintain strong service relationships with referral sources such as hospitals and physician groups.
- Assume temporary leadership responsibilities within the pharmacy with minimal supervision, as designated by the Pharmacist in Charge.
- Ensure accurate checking and dispensing of medications in strict compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Uphold and consistently apply Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain quality and safety in pharmacy operations.
- Oversee pharmacy functions including compounding, dispensing, scheduling, purchasing, distribution, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B.S.) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited pharmacy school.
- Active Iowa Pharmacist License (additional state licenses may be required).
- Minimum of 1 year recent clinical pharmacy experience, preferably in home infusion and/or hospital settings.
- Familiarity with CPR+ software is preferred.
