  • Strengthen internal controls, processes, and documentation.

  • Manage working capital, cash management, and billing cycles to ensure healthy liquidity.

Operational Partnership

  • Work closely with service, construction, and project leaders to understand job performance, backlog, and profitability drivers.

  • Provide financial insights that help operations optimize labor, materials, subcontractor usage, and project execution.

  • Conduct margin analysis, review change orders, oversee WIP schedules, and ensure accurate job costing.

Business Growth & M&A

  • Support integration activities when new branches or acquisitions are brought into the business unit.

  • Conduct financial due diligence and help evaluate potential acquisition targets as needed.

  • 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally in HVAC, mechanical contracting, facilities services, construction, or other project-based/service-based industries.

  • Experience in a roll-up, multi-entity, or private-equity-backed environment strongly preferred.

  • Strong understanding of job costing, WIP, revenue recognition, and service vs. project margin dynamics.

  • Proven ability to partner with operations and influence decision-making.

  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to balance strategy and detailed execution.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to both corporate leadership and field teams.
