Overview

Marquette General Hospital is seeking an experienced Travel Respiratory Therapist to join its clinical team. This position is ideal for professionals who are dedicated to providing high-quality respiratory care in a hospital setting and who thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy treatments and procedures as prescribed by physicians.
• Manage and monitor patients requiring mechanical ventilation and other advanced respiratory support.
• Assess, evaluate, and document patient respiratory status and progress.
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and chest physiotherapy.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, treatments, and home care practices.
• Maintain and ensure proper functioning of respiratory therapy equipment.
• Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and confidentiality standards.

Qualifications

• Current Respiratory Therapist license in Michigan (or eligibility to obtain).
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferred; Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) considered.
• Minimum of 2 years recent hospital-based respiratory therapy experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Strong clinical skills and ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.

Contract Details

• Shift: Night shift, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM.

• Duration: 13 weeks, with potential for extension.
