Electrophysiology Technician Location
Position is available in the Electrophysiology Lab.
Assignment DurationThis is a 13-week contract position.
ScheduleDay shift, 5 days a week from 07:30 to 16:00 with block schedules available.
Job DescriptionThe Electrophysiology Technician will be responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic electrophysiological procedures. This role requires accurate monitoring and setup of equipment, including EKG lead placement and preparation of access sites. The technician will be expected to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias, assist with sterile procedures, and maintain a sterile field.
Responsibilities- Accurate monitoring and equipment setup.
- Perform EKG lead placement and prepare access sites.
- Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias.
- Scrub in to maintain a sterile field during procedures.
- Assist in a variety of electrophysiology studies and catheterization lab procedures.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, 3 years preferred.
- Experience in hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and CCI RCIS required; ARRT CI, ARRT R, ARRT VI, CCI RCES preferred.
- Familiarity with the Epic charting system is required.
