Opportunity:

Paramedic - Paramedic

\n

Job Details:

\n

• 11-week contract with varied shifts across all shift types
\n • 48 hours per week with overtime after 48 hours worked
\n • Occasional weekend requirement with holidays as needed and available
\n • Primary location is Aspirus Ontonagon with float requirement to other Michigan and Wisconsin locations as needed
\n • Subject to low census and placed on call with a minimum 2-hour callback requirement
\n • Provide basic and advanced life support treatment, care, and evaluation of patients
\n • Conduct ongoing patient assessment and required documentation of patient care
\n • Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patient charts
\n • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition and treatment as appropriate
\n • Initiate and implement interventions based on established protocols
\n • Assist with treatments and tests ordered by provider under supervision of provider or registered nurse
\n • Identify, intervene, and stabilize ill or injured patients under the direction and in collaboration with a physician and/or registered nurse
\n • Crew configurations may include EMT/Medic, Medic/Medic, RN/EMT, or RN/Medic depending on daily staffing
\n • Charting system utilized is the Zoll EMS Charts platform; training will be provided
\n • Required certifications: Michigan Paramedic Certification (NREMT-P eligible for reciprocity), Wisconsin EMT Paramedic Certification, active driver's license in good standing, PALS, AHA BLS, and AHA ACLS
\n • Wisconsin Critical Care Paramedic (CCP) Endorsement preferred
\n • Minimum one year of paramedic experience required; three years preferred with interfacility transfer experience required
\n • Associate degree or certificate required; high school diploma and successful completion of an EMS paramedic program required
\n • Must demonstrate collaborative teamwork skills within an interdisciplinary group focused on patient care
\n • Must be able to work independently, exercise independent judgment, and perform effectively under stress
\n • Must exhibit strong decision-making skills and ability to recognize and effectively treat life-threatening conditions
